Specialising in steel and reinforcing products, pipes, timber and formwork as well as transport requirements associated with mining, oil and gas, construction, industrial, rental and local government, Crane Trucks R Us recently added an Isuzu FVY 1400 to its fleet. The new FVY 1400 is fitted with a Palfinger crane and is at work for the company in the Brisbane region.

When Silvercape owner, Doug Missak, was awarded the AirRoad contract over a decade ago, Isuzu was his choice of truck. After purchasing his truck from Westar Trucks in Footscray, Victoria, Scott had a custom body built to suit his company’s requirements. Scott also opted to add rims and an Isuzu bullbar to his NQR 450.

Rhomberg Rail Australia’s Manager Rail Structures, Dennis Bebber, said its two Isuzu trucks are perfect for the type of work they do. “The trucks meet the rough conditions encountered working in the rail industry. They are required to work all over New South Wales and lower Queensland,” Dennis said. “The Giga CXY 455 Premium has been fitted with a rear mounted crane with a capacity of over seven tonnes at two metres, and has a reach of 17 metres. The truck tows our tag along trailer, carrying either our eight tonne high rail excavator or our 17 metre materials handler. It is used for bridge construction, timber bridge repairs and track work. It’s also our float for the machines and a containerised meal room and office. Our NQR 450 Crew is fitted with a two tonne crane for loading smaller plant. This truck transports our smaller equipment and construction team to the work sites.”

Clocking up approximately 5,000 kilometres each week, Robert Stevenson from Earlyrise Baking Company recently purchased a new Isuzu FRR 500 Long – his second Isuzu in less than a year. Robert uses his Isuzu truck to deliver bread and bakery products through the rural areas in far western New South Wales. The truck’s body is fitted with refrigeration units to keep the baked goods cool on the journey, and is easily accessible via three doors in the rear of the truck.
